That’s me (Cheryl) at the Pinnacle Overlook. You can see the town of Cumberland Gap in this picture.

(Pull up a chair — I’ll grab the coffee.)

Hey y’all — I’m so glad you found your way here!

This little corner of the internet is where I get to share more than just the “what” I make.
Here, you’ll find the stories behind each handmade piece, the little sparks of inspiration, the happy accidents (and the not-so-happy ones I still learn from), and the places and people that make this part of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee so special.

How The Craft Cache Workshop Started

The Craft Cache Workshop began the way a lot of good things do — with curiosity, a love of making things, and a few “I bet I could do that” moments that spiraled into late-night projects and piles of sawdust.

The name? I’ve always loved geocaching— hunting for hidden treasures. And that’s how I see my work: each creation is its own little treasure, tucked away until the right person finds it. Whether it’s a custom laser-engraved heirloom panel, a rustic wood sign, or a Southern-inspired T-shirt, each piece has its own story.

Rooted in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee

I’m lucky enough to call Harrogate, TN home — just a hop from the historic Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, where Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia all meet. This area is rich with history, mountain views that stop you in your tracks, and folks who know how to swap a good story.

A lot of my designs are inspired by the mountains, wildlife, and quirks of Southern life. Don’t be surprised if you spot a squirrel, a honey bee, or a saying your grandma used to say in my work.
If you’re visiting, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite local businesses, events, and must-see spots in East Tennessee here on the blog.

What You’ll Find on This Blog

This isn’t just about products. It’s about the why behind them. You’ll find:

  • Behind-the-scenes peeks into my laser engraving workshop (and maybe my coffee cup)

  • Local business shout-outs and Tennessee event highlights

  • Photo galleries of finished custom gifts I can’t wait to show off

  • Tips, tricks, and maybe a few DIY experiments gone sideways

Your Turn

I’d love to hear from you!
What’s one piece of local history, a family story, or a favorite saying you think deserves a spot on wood, metal, or fabric? Drop it in the comments or send me a message — you might just see it in a future project.

Here’s to making, telling stories, and finding the little treasures in life.
Thanks for stopping by — and don’t be a stranger.
